My name is Manu Unnikrishnan.
I am 25 years old and currently doing my masters thesis at ETAS in the field of Vehicle Dynamics and Simulation. I was born and raised in India, but my passion for automobiles and motor sports led me to study abroad in Germany. In one of my classes, I heard a guest lecture by an ETAS associate on „Rapid Prototyping“, and I immediately sent in my application to ETAS and got a reference from the associate. In my thesis, I am dealing with future and innovative technologies in the automotive industry, which I am pretty excited about.
What I do
My mentor and I drew up a step-by-step plan. At the beginning, I read several studies and technical documents provided by ETAS. My mentor gave me useful hints and always supported me with his expertise.
At ETAS, I had the opportunity to work with ETAS tools like „ASCET“, which is used worldwide in the automotive industry to engineer and develop prototypes. This is beneficial to my future career. As part of my thesis, I work on the tool for the simulation of a vehicle dynamics model. I verify the results and then build a controller.
Working at ETAS
I like the fact that ETAS is a small company where everyone knows everyone. The weekly students-meetings helped me socialize and integrate myself in a short period of time. In my opinion, doing my master thesis at ETAS is a good milestone in my career since ETAS is an international company and part of the Bosch Group.
