The ES520 vehicle bus interface module is the standard link between the data buses FlexRay and CAN and PCaided software like INCA, the FlexRay-Analyzer by IXXAT or the Softing diagnostic Tool DTS. The connection to the PC is realized via the 100 Mbit/s Ethernet interface of the ES520. Data traffic on CAN and FlexRay is managed simultaneously. The FlexRay transfer rate can be more than 20 times of CAN. The powerful microcontroller of the ES520 can process even these large data volumes loss-free.

The connection to FlexRay is established by the FlexRay communication controller, which is placed on a changeable module. Therefore an update to a new FlexRay Version is easily possible by changing this module.
