ES590 / ES591 – Interface Module

ES590 / ES591

This powerful interface module of the compact device family is the link between your PC-based measurement and calibration software (INCA) and your control unit. Equipped with built-in intelligence and a data memory, the ES590/ES591 takes charge of the entire data handling in real-time, relieving the PC of all time-critical tasks.

With two CAN and – in case of the ES590 – one K-Line interface, the ES590/ES591 covers the area of serial calibration. The ETK interface permits parallel calibration at a data transfer rate of up to 100 Mbit/s. If the connected ETK also supports block mode, the parallel interface receives a huge performance boost. The high data transfer rate and the new, intelligent transmission protocol for ETKs allow not only the selection of more measurement variables, but also a larger number of acquisition rates that can be used. Additionally, the control unit program and data is downloaded much faster.

The innovative, dynamic memory management reserves only as much memory per acquisition raster and interface in use as is actually required for buffering the data currently used. This optimizes the use of the available memory, which is 16 MB for the ES590/ES591. By choosing the acquisition raster and data types of the measured variables selected for this raster, the user can determine the total number of variables that can be selected in INCA.
