AWS2 – Signal Conditioning Unit

AWS2

The AWS2 Signal Conditioning Unit is a cost-effective alternative to the high-precision Lambda Meter LA4. The AWS2 analyzer circuit outputs the pump current of the sensor and the internal resistance of the sensor, which depends on its temperature, in terms of voltages.

The output voltages of the AWS Signal Conditioning Unit can be read using an oscilloscope, a digital voltmeter, a pen recorder or an A/D module like the ES302, ES310, or ES620. A development ECU with suitable inputs can be directly connected to the output signals of the AWS2. The AWS2 can either control the heating of the LSU λ-sensor or deliver the heating current, which is requested by the lambda control algorithm of the ECU.

Functions at a Glance

  • Analyzer circuit for Lambda-sensor signals
  • Analog voltages output proportional to pump current and internal resistance of the -sensor
  • Wide measurement range
  • Short transient time of the measurement system
  • Sensor heating current controllable by an ECU
