MTS 1100 Emission Analyzer

MTS 1100 Emission Analyzer In Detail

The MTS 1100 Emission Analyzer is designed for today's emissions programs, including I/M240, Acceleration Simulation Mode (ASM) and even Basic programs.
Note: The I/M240 is an Inspection and Maintenance driving cycle that states use to identify gross emitters. The test, which lasts 240 seconds (4 minutes), has a top speed of 56.7 mph and an average speed of 29 mph. The distance traveled is approximately 2 miles. This is the driving cycle used in many state inspection and maintenance emissions programs.

The processing power and display capabilities of the portable MTS 1100 Emission Analyzer, coupled with the accuracy and reliability of its internal gas measurement bench, provide an excellent tool for diagnosing vehicles failing new emissions inspection programs.

In addition, the MTS 1100 Emission Analyzer is a multifunctional tester providing in one powerful tool:

  • gas analysis
  • oscilloscope functions
  • multimeter functions

The MTS 1100 Emission Analyzer has a large display screen for easy viewing in the service bay or in the vehicle.

Highlights

The MTS 1100 Emission Analyzer is available in 4 or 5-gas configurations (MTS 1100-4 and MTS 1100-5).

The MTS 1100-4 Emission Analyzer measures HC, CO, CO2, and O2 with BAR-90 accuracy.

Note: Effective January 1, 1996, the idle-only tailpipe exhaust test was upgraded to a two-speed second-chance test. Vehicles are tested at idle (350-1200 rpm) and high speed (2200-2500 rpm). If the vehicle fails on the first chance high speed or idle mode, the mode or modes are repeated. If the exhaust gas analysis finds excessive concentrations of carbon monoxide or hydrocarbons, the vehicle fails the test. This two-speed test is commonly called the BAR-90 test and refers to the California Bureau of Automotive Repair 1990 specifications.

The MTS 1100-5 Emission Analyzer increases troubleshooting capabilities with the addition of NOx emissions measurement.

When connected to an MTS 3100 Scan Tester (Mastertech), the MTS 1100 Emission Analyzer combines engine management system data with exhaust data for expanded diagnostic capabilities.

The MTS 1100 Emission Analyzer is a high quality gas analyzer, with truly advanced diagnostic features, at an affordable price.
