The ability to measure exhaust gases is a valuable asset in troubleshooting. Problems that consumed in the past valuable diagnostic time, such as drivability and emissions system problems, are easily solved with the MTS 1100 Emission Analyzer diagnostic features described below.
- Portable
Typical NOx emissions failures only occur while driving a vehicle under loaded conditions. With this in mind, the MTS 1100 5-Gas Analyzer was designed to be fully portable for recording NOx and other critical exhaust gases under load and during normal driving conditions. The MTS 1100 4-Gas Analyzer contains the same features and functionality as the 5-Gas Analyzer less the capability to detect NOx values. - Snapshot Recording
The Snapshot capability of the MTS 1100 Emission Analyzer can record multiple 10 minute snapshots of road-test data for analysis at a later time. - Snapshots are stored in the Emission Analyzer even after power to the unit has been removed.
- Emissions "Baseline" and "Verification" Tool
Designed around new repair strategies taught in national training programs, the MTS 1100 Emission Analyzer makes it easy to calculate emissions reductions after repairs. This virtually eliminates guesswork when making tough emissions-related repairs. Average Emissions and Estimated Grams/Mile features provide a great tool to baseline exhaust readings (from a vehicle that fails an emissions inspection before repairs are made), and then verify emissions reductions after repairs. - Combine Emissions Readings with ECU Data
During a road test, with the MTS 1100 Emission Analyzer connected to the MTS 3100 Scan Tester (Mastertech), a vehicle's critical engine management data along with the emissions readings can be viewed or recorded. - Acceleration Simulation Mode Analysis
The MTS 1100 Emission Analyzer can diagnose vehicles failing Acceleration Simulation Mode (ASM) inspection programs. The ASM feature analyzes a road test snapshot to verify whether emissions were below the manually entered cut-points. - Built-in Glossary and 5-Gas Theory
The comprehensive glossary provides over 50 industry-related emission terms and definitions in addition to 5-Gas theory and diagnostic tips, and charts.
