INCA-MIP

INCA-MIP

While calibration has predominantly been performed during road tests, activities are now shifting to the lab and the use of mathematical models. Manufacturers strive to capture knowledge, automate tasks, and apply mathematical optimizations in order to push most of these activities into the early stages of development.

Mathematical models are mostly created in The Mathwork’s MATLAB® as this tool is well established in automotive development. At the same time, INCA is the standard tool for measurement and calibration.

INCA-MIP links both tools seamlessly and combines mathematical excellence with transparent and universal access to embedded control units and measurement devices. A basic set of functions is available with the INCA base system; The add-on broadens this range of INCA functions to be used by MATLAB® by providing a complete toolbox.
