ES1325 is a Digital I/O Board, designed for the acquisition and the generation of digital signals in rapid prototyping applications of the ES1000 system. Therefore, it is perfectly supported by ASCET-RP and INTECRIO. A configuration dialog facilitates the setup of the board and parameters can be changed while the experiment is executed. Many kinds of signals, such as Digital In-/Output, PWM In-/Output (Pulse Width Modulation), Event Counters and Additive Active Time can be handled by the ES1325. Any desirable combination of functionality is covered thanks to the fact that each channel can be configured independently. Hence, the board can be used in different applications in a very flexible way. The Digital I/O Board offers a time resolution of 25 ns and a 32 bit counter for each of the 16 input and output channels. This results in a signal frequency range from 1 Hz to 60 kHz for data detection and generation. The switching thresholds for the input channels can be adjusted per channel by a programmable hysteresis in the range from 0 V to 36 V. Both levels for the active and inactive thresholds can be configured. High channel counts can be achieved, since an ES1000 system can be equipped with up to four ES1325 boards at the same time.
