To make the development of embedded software easier, ASCET models are specified at a physical level. To generate safe and optimized, and therefore efficient, production C-code for a specific microcontroller, ASCET-SE guides the user through all implementation aspects, such as memory layout, data types and formulas, and the configuration of the OSEK OS or compiler specific optimization features.
ASCET-SE currently supports code generation for seven different microcontrollers and RTA-OSEK 4.0:

- ASCET-SE for TI TMS470 - Code generator for Texas Instruments TMS470 controller

- ASCET-SE for Motorola M68HC12 - Code generator for Motorola M68HC12 controller
- ASCET-SE for Hitachi SH7055F - Code generator for Hitachi SH7055F controller
- ASCET-SE for Infineon TriCore - Code generator for Infineon TriCore controller
- ASCET-SE for RTA-OSEK - Code generator for RTA-OSEK V4.0 supported target microcontrollers
Although ASCET-SE supports any OSEK compliant OS, it features seamless integration of the RTA-OSEK tool family in particular. ASCET-SE generates description data according to the ASAM-2MC standard.
Upon customer request, the ASCET-SE code generator can be certified in accordance with the IEC 61508 safety standard for any supported target.
