With over a decade of expertise in the area of software development tools and modules for automotive electronics, ETAS joined the AUTOSAR partnership as Premium Member in early 2004.
ETAS is strongly committed to the success of AUTOSAR, and is taking an active role in the specification of the standard, i.e., for the key basic software modules OS and RTE, the definition of AUTOSAR authoring tools and their coupling with behavior modeling tools, and the specification of calibration interfaces. ETAS commitment to AUTOSAR continues into phase 2 of the AUTOSAR project, which started in 2007 and concerns itself with releases 3.0, 3.1, and 4.0 of the AUTOSAR specifications.
Concurrent with the various software development phases, ETAS supports its customers with AUTOSAR compliant solutions, ranging from system and control design to integration, code generation, and deployment.
To enhance development efficiency and provide assured cost savings to its customers, ETAS will furnish uniquely comprehensive support for a full range of development environments, from PC simulation and virtual prototyping, to rapid prototyping, HiL systems, plus calibration and production ECUs.
During initial pilot projects, our OEM and Tier-1 customers were able to show substantial bottom line results when developing AUTOSAR compliant applications using AUTOSAR prototypes of ETAS tools. Based on experiences gathered in the course of pilot projects, ETAS will provide AUTOSAR support with released products for the short term. AUTOSAR solutions by ETAS easily integrate with the development environments of OEMs and ECU manufacturers.
