ASCET models are initially specified with ASCET-MD on the physical level and then transferred to the fixed-point representation. With ASCET-SE these models are converted by considering other microcontroller specific respective ECU specific aspects such as storage layout, native data types, configuration of OSEK operating system or compiler specific optimization functions in safe, optimized and efficient C code for the correspondent microcontroller of the serial ECU.
To support an already existing development (e. g. for classical C programming) or to support the specific functionality of the microcontroller and the ECU in the best possible way, the code generator can be adapted in various ways.
Although ASCET-SE supports any OSEK compliant OS, it features seamless integration of the RTA-OSEK tool family in particular. ASCET-SE generates description data according to ASAM-2MC-Standard.
On customer request a certification of the ASCET-SE code generation can be carried out for all supported ECUs according to ISO 61508 safety standard.
