Electrical Load Simulation Module for ECU Testing in the Lab

The modular ES4408 Load Module provides electrical loads to electronic control units (ECUs) under test on a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing system.

Modular Construction
The ES4408 is a 19-inch rack mount system which can accommodate up to 12 load boards. It provides an Ethernet communication interface ES4408CON through which the user can control the load configuration. The internal controller monitors all internal functions and facilitates scanning of control signals and parameters. The ES4408 comes with a universal power supply (100 V to 250 V).

The following selection of load boards is available:

• ES4434 Configurable Load Boad (24-CH)
  Manually configurable load board for small loads with 24 channels for pull-up and pull-down loads. Facilitates the simulation of resistive, capacitive, and inductive loads.
• ES4435 Current Source Load Board (24-CH)
  Programmable current source load board with 24 channels for pull-up and pull-down loads up to 150 mA
• ES4455 Load Board (4-CH)
  Manually configurable load board with 4 channels for resistive, capacitive, and inductive load simulations up to 60 V DC and 20 A (at UBatt).
• ES4450 Load Board for 4 RB CRS Injectors
  Load board for solenoid fuel injectors in Bosch common rail systems (CRS), with connections for four injectors. It comprises an ES4455 Load Board (4-CH) and two PB4451CR Piggybacks for RB CRS Injectors
• ES4451 Load Board for 4 RB GDI Injectors
  Load board for injectors in Bosch Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) systems, with connections for four injectors. It comprises an ES4455 Load Board (4-CH) and two PB4451GDI Piggybacks for RB GDI injectors
• ES4456 Load Board for 8 RB CRS Piezo Injectors
  Load board for piezo fuel injectors in Bosch common rail systems (CRS), with connections for eight injectors.
