The ES4440 Compact Fault Simulation Module simulates electrical failures for ECU testing in real-time environments. It can be used stand-alone or in combination with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) test systems. One field of application are the tests that are required for the (CARB) OBD II functions.
The ES4440 is built into a 19 inch housing with 3 HU, and can be mounted in a rack system. The module offers CAN and Ethernet interfaces for simulation control.

- Short circuits (to ground, UBATT and pin-to-pin)
- Leakage currents
- Loose contacts
- Contact corrosion
- Bouncing
