The ES585 compact unit is the most cost-effective module within the range of compact units for PC-based calibration via the serial diagnostics interface (K-Line) of the control unit. ES585 is an intelligent interface that permits a connection between ECU and PC. The K-Line and L-Line of the diagnostic interface form the connection to the control unit.
The ES585 handles the data exchange with the ECU independently in real-time, thereby relieving the PC of all time-critical protocol tasks. This allows high transmission rates used for ECU calibration. ES585 supports the common calibration and diagnosis protocols McMess, Keyword71, KWP2000. Its functionality is essentially determined by the operating programs on the PC. The use of the parallel printer interface ensures a powerful and universal connection to all popular PCs.
