How to Debug LABCAR-RTPC Segment Violations
LABCAR-OPERATOR: Stimulation of a signal connected to ES1222 or ES1220 fails
The stimulation of a signal connected in the RTIO to a CAN message with direction RECEIVE fails. The problem concerns both FLEX-CAN and CAN-IO software devices of the boards ES1220 and ES1222 used in projects for Realtime Execution Connector V1.5 LABCAR Experiment Software V2.0.x. A workaround is described in this document.
OS Windows XP Professional: Required Access Rights for Users of LABCAR Experimentation Software
Starting with version 2.0.1, the ETAS Software "LABCAR-OPERATOR" supports the operating system WINDOWS XP. Compared to previous versions of the Windows operating system, the options of defining rights to access system resources and OS system parameters have been extended. As a consequence, the effective user- and access rights (i.e., rights that are given explicitly and rights that are inherited from higher level objects in the user hierarchy) may not be sufficient for running the LABCAR-OPERATOR software.
Build Problems for RTPC RIS projects LCO with LCO V3.2.1
During the building process of LCO projects (of Type LCD 1.8) for the target RTPC (ES1130 is not affected) that contain SIMULINK™ models integrated with the Realtime Interface to Simulink (RIS), the ASCED SD Error /Warnings window displays error messages.
The messages indicate that the system files “tmwtypes.h”, “simstruc_types.h”, “rtlibsrc.h” and other files were not found.
These errors prevent a successful completion of the build process.
Flash Empty Project to ES1130 for Use with LABCAR
What is the meaning of the error message: “RTIO is not supported by this Hardware/Firmware-Configuration.”?
Bind failed for TCP port
After a restart of the Simulation Controller, the following error message displays, as soon as the user tries to open the Experiment from LABCAR-OPERATOR:
The Experiment could not be opened. Please check the hardware connections and the logfiles!
[OLC] ETarget controller IDispatch = NULL
Setting up the IP-Manager for usage with LABCAR-OPERATOR V3.x
PREREQUISITES:
- the LABCAR Network Adapter (NIC) has IP address: 192.168.40.240
- the LABCAR Network Adapter (NIC) has subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Programming VB-Script GUIs containing a large number of Measurement Elements
Opening VB-Script based GUIs with a large number of measurement elements (max. 500) in LCO V3.x.x takes longer than with earlier versions (increase per measure variable: approx. 500ms).
Problems During Installation of MS .NET Framework
One of the requirements for the installation of LABCAR-OPERATOR is the installation of the Microsoft™ .NET Framework. Therefore, the Microsoft™ .NET Framework is included on the software installation CD for LABCAR-OPERATOR. Depending on several of the settings, the installation process of Microsoft™ .NET Framework might not be completed. This will be indicated by the setup window freezing as shown below before the end of the installation process.
