Applications
A control algorithm is often simulated on a PC before it is implemented on a hardware prototype. With the INCA-SCX (Simulation Connector XCP) add-on, such a control algorithm model can be pre-calibrated with INCA. The add-on uses the XCP protocol to connect the simulation with INCA running on the same PC. For calibration purposes the simulation behaves like an ECU which is connected to INCA via XCP-on-Ethernet. By using the COM or ASAP3 interfaces of INCA, the model can be automatically calibrated by a remote application.
