Functions at a Glance
- Modular, open software for automated ECU testing in the lab
- Role-based development, management, and execution of complex automated tests
- Test case development is independent of specific HiL test bench interfaces
- Open interfaces accommodate numerous testing tools and languages
The LABCAR-AUTOMATION software package includes the tools required in the development, management, and execution of automated tests. By providing reliable support for numerous tasks within the testing process, this tool suite ensures a high level of test automation quality. In this way safety-critical or time-consuming tests (e.g., OBD testing) can be carried out economical and reproducible to significantly improve the quality of ECU software or meeting the demands of product liability.
The open interfaces of LABCAR-AUTOMATION accommodate interconnections with the testing systems of a variety of vendors. This interfaces support, besides access to models and ECUs, also synchronized data logging, fault memory access, evaluation of OBD protocol J1699, as well as electrical fault simulation.
Thanks to the automated HiL test bench configuration routine and the use of batch jobs, HiL testing equipment may be in continuous use around-the-clock. The separate user interfaces for test design and test execution are intuitive and easy to operate. The use of role models in LABCAR-AUTOMATION makes it possible to tailor the software to the tasks at hand. As a result, the testing system adapts to the needs of the user, instead of the other way around.
