New company founded |
ETAS and National Instruments have signed an agreement to jointly design, build, and service pre-integrated Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) systems. The companies are pooling their strengths to optimize the testing and validation of automotive electronics software, including ECUs and sensors, to meet current and future customer requirements. |

Requirements fulfilled |
TÜV SÜD has once again given ETAS its seal of approval: ETAS AUTOSAR Basic Software RTA-BSW is compliant with ISO 26262:2018 ASIL-D applications. In addition, compliance with further safety standards have been confirmed to cover passenger vehicles, motorbikes, trucks, and off-highway machinery.

Cooperation announced |
ETAS and BlackBerry QNX, a business unit of BlackBerry Limited, will combine their assets to develop and sell a software platform and associated tools for vehicle computers and domain controllers based on the AUTOSAR Adaptive standard. |

Paradigm shift |
The tasks involved in automated driving cannot be mastered merely through the use of conventional control units. Powerful vehicle computers are starting to gain a foothold. A new set of standards for software architectures and vehicle computers of the future is currently emerging in the form of the AUTOSAR Adaptive platform whose implementation phase is described here in more detail. |
