The 2015 Formula Student racing season has come to an end and ETAS and its sponsored teams can look back on a stressful – but overwhelmingly successful – season.

At this year’s competition, the 25 ETAS-sponsored teams put in their best performance in all disciplines on Europe’s most important racetracks, including Hockenheimring, Silverstone Circuit, Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. Even amid strong international competition, the ETAS teams set new records.

ETAS provides the teams not only with software and hardware, but also with workshops and know-how. Combined with the students’ boundless commitment, this helped both the combustion-engine and electric vehicles to once again top their previous years’ successes.

While five of the teams ETAS sponsored made it to the top ten in both categories of the overall standings at the Formula Student Germany competition, all podium places for combustion-engine and e-vehicles at the Spanish competition were occupied by ETAS-sponsored teams.

Both on the track and in static disciplines Engineering Design, Cost Analysis and Business Plan, the teams were able to demonstrate their sound performance. In this way, the ‘Rennteam of the University of Stuttgart’ set a new world record in overall points – out of 1,000 possible points, the team collected 980.15 points!

But “after the race is before the race”, as they say in motorsport. The teams have already started working on their vehicles for the 2016 season – with assistance from ETAS, of course!
