The data subject has the right to obtain from the controller confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning them is being processed, and, where that is the case, they have a right of access to this personal data and to the specific information as detailed in Article 15 GDPR.
The data subject has the right to obtain from the controller without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning them and, if applicable, the right to have incomplete personal data completed (Article 16 GDPR).
The data subject has the right to request that the controller erases personal data concerning them without undue delay, provided one of the grounds listed in Article 17 GDPR applies, e.g. if the data is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected (right to erasure).
The data subject has the right to obtain from the controller restriction of processing where one of the conditions laid down in Article 18 GDPR applies; e.g. if the data subject has lodged an objection to the processing, processing shall be restricted while this is verified by the controller.
The data subject has the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to their particular situation, to the processing of personal data concerning them. The controller shall cease processing this personal data, unless they can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedom of the data subject or where the processing is used for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims (Article 21 GDPR).
If the data subject considers that the processing of the personal data concerning them infringes GDPR, they have the right – without prejudice to any other administrative or legal remedy – to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR). The data subject may exercise this right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged breach.
