Use of ETAS simulation models for testing ECUs
Using hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) systems and the corresponding simulation models permits safe, reproducible, and automatable tests – even within limit ranges. Such simulations replace elaborate time- and cost-intensive tests using real components such as cold starts and aging tests as well as safety-critical tests such as the leakage of hydrogen from a fuel cell.
Support during the installation and application of simulation models
For LABCAR-MODEL simulation models, ETAS offers supporting engineering services and consulting for the implementation of customer-specific requirements. The open architecture and modular design facilitate the flexible adaptation of LABCAR-MODEL simulation models to various development requirements and existing infrastructures.
A large proportion of ETAS simulation models are implemented in Simulink® and offer free access to all parameters and deeper function levels. Fundamental functional components are integrated via Simulink S-functions and can be modified as required. ETAS simulation models run in real time in a hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) environment on LABCAR-RTPC. Software-in-the-loop (SiL) and model-in-the-loop (MiL) applications are also supported. This variety of applications is ensured by the modular design of the models.
