SCODE-ANALYZER

ETAS’s SCODE-ANALYZER (System CO DEsign) software tool makes it possible to clearly describe and verify complex relationships in closed-loop control systems. To this end, the overall system is divided up into operating areas known as “modes” (for example, idle, full load, limp-home mode). Displaying the system this way is most beneficial when the software makes decisions or has a lot of variants.

SCODE-ANALYZER - Software for displaying complex relationships in control systems

SCODE-ANALYZER enables control systems to be displayed in a way that is easy to understand. In this way, the software facilitates collaboration, for instance in the areas of change management, documentation, intra-team cooperation, project handover, and safety analysis. If required, M code or C code can be generated automatically.

Applications

  • Creating specifications in function development
  • Exchanging information among function developers and between function developers and software developers
  • Automatic code generation for selecting the relevant operating states (modes)

Benefits

  • Control systems can be displayed in a way that is easy to understand
  • Early formal verification of system for completeness, consistency, and unambiguousness
  • Better and faster understanding of system’s structure
  • Automatic generation of work results (e.g. M code, C code, or PDF)
  • Supports model-centered development in conjunction with ETAS SCODE-CONGRA
  • Information can be easily exchanged among developers and with management

Functions

  • Automated verification of system for completeness, consistency, and unambiguousness
  • Identification of unnecessary areas
  • Displays the relationship and the transitions of operating states (modes)
  • Input parameters:
    • Description of requirements and/or system in free text
  • Output parameters:
    • Structured system descriptions (e.g. PDF, DOC, HTML)
    • Test case generator for mode selector in XML for Piketec® TPT
    • Program code (Matlab®/Simulink®-M files, C code fragments, ASCET ESDL code, ASCET AMD code)
