Automotive middleware for microprocessors based on Eclipse S-CORE
The General Purpose Profile is ETAS’ software platform for microprocessor-based automotive applications. Built for domain controllers, ADAS/AD, connectivity, and other high-performance vehicle computers, it delivers an open, modular, and scalable foundation for next-generation vehicle software. While the platform is not yet fully based on Eclipse S-CORE today, ETAS is actively driving the transition toward this future architecture. Marking an important milestone on this journey, our distribution based on the latest Eclipse S-CORE Release is already available as an Experience Package. This enables customers to gain early hands-on experience with the emerging S-CORE-based foundation while continuing to benefit from the proven capabilities of the current platform.

Planned evolution
The S-CORE Experience Package is designed to evolve step by step — from its current non-safety setup based on S-CORE v0.6 toward broader platform support, stronger security capabilities, and deeper integration options. Planned next steps include enhancements based on S-CORE v0.9, support Linux Yocto, project setup support (SCOREX) and JSON Editor extension, that provides live config validation and config completion assist.
Future versions will evolve towards RHIVOS support, AI-enabled app creation, ADAS integration, diagnostics support, and, in the longer term, IVI coupling, enhanced AI framework integration, and planned ASIL-B certification.
Safety status
The current package status is non-safety, with future development aimed at broader safety-related capabilities.
