MOU with ARAI to strengthen automotive cybersecurity readiness in India

ETAS India Signing

On June 20, 2025, ETAS India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) to collaborate in strengthening cybersecurity readiness across India’s rapidly evolving mobility landscape.

As vehicles become increasingly connected and software-defined, the need for robust cybersecurity measures becomes more critical. The partnership aims to proactively equip the Indian automotive industry—OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, startups, and professionals alike—with the knowledge and capabilities needed to navigate emerging cyber threats and regulatory expectations.

“Vehicles today are essentially computers on wheels. To stay ahead of the curve, we must invest in cybersecurity now,” said Suhas M, Managing Director of ETAS India. “By joining forces with ARAI, we combine global expertise with strong local leadership to support the industry in building future-proof cybersecurity practices.”

Through tailored training programs, practical workshops, and certification courses, the two partners will work to raise awareness, transfer knowledge, and enhance the skills required to meet international standards and future regulatory frameworks.

Dr. Reji Mathai, Director of ARAI, emphasized that this collaboration is not just a formal agreement but a strategic step toward creating a safer and more secure mobility ecosystem in India—founded on innovation, trust, and compliance with global standards.

This partnership represents a significant milestone on the path to a more resilient automotive future.
