Recap
Our year 2025 with students
Connecting with the next generation of tech talent
This year, we set out with a clear mission: to bring ETAS Germany closer to the next generation of tech talent. Across universities, career fairs, and student events, our teams had the chance to meet young engineers, share real-world insights into automotive software, and show what makes ETAS a place where people can grow.
From hands-on product demos to open conversations at our booths, every event gave us the opportunity to spark curiosity, answer questions, and highlight the impact our work has on the future of mobility.
With colleagues from different departments joining us on the road, we were able to present a wide and authentic view of what ETAS stands for – our culture, our people, and the challenges we solve every day.
Below, we’ve collected highlights from the events we attended this year: impressions, stories, and the teams who represented us on site.
Exploring XasCode and Generative AI at 42 Heilbronn (February)
At an exclusive event with 42 Heilbronn, ETAS experts showcased how XasCode revolutionizes complex software development with code-driven methodologies. Our live demos illustrated leveraging Generative AI, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), to enhance embedded software engineering workflows, from intelligent documentation to automated code translation. We shared insights into the future of secure and efficient development.
Student Development Day at 42 Heilbronn (March)
Our team joined forces with Bosch colleagues at the Student Development Day at 42 Heilbronn. We thoroughly enjoyed meeting incredibly motivated students, engaging in discussions about innovative tech education and the future of software.
Automotive software deep dive at Abstatt (April)
42 Heilbronn talents explore real-world insights in Abstatt
ETAS and Bosch Engineering jointly hosted an exclusive event for 42 Heilbronn talents at our Abstatt campus. Offering a unique look into automotive software development, students gained hands on insights into technologies shaping tomorrow's mobility from open source fundamentals to AUTOSAR and Rust. They also experienced behind-the-scenes tech tours and connected directly with industry experts. Discover how we're inspiring the next generation of automotive innovators.
ITS.Connect in Bochum (May)
The atmosphere at ITS.Connect in Bochum was electric! Our booth buzzed with students eager to explore careers in cybersecurity and automotive software. We held fantastic discussions, met brilliant minds, and confirmed: Ruhr University Bochum is a key hub for the next generation of security experts.
Industrietag at Hochschule Esslingen (May)
Alongside Bosch colleagues from Semiconductor and the E-Bikes mobility section, we showed students not only the origins of chip raw materials but also how processors are built and later power our mobility solutions. All of this would not be possible without software, at every stage of the value and product cycle. ETAS demonstrated its expertise in embedded development, system calibration, and cloud-based digital twin visualization for vehicles. We even sparked a discussion: could software-defined bikes be next?
Formula Student pre-season at Boxberg Circuit (May)
Growing together with students
Together with the colleagues from Bosch Engineering, Bosch and ITK, we co-hosted a two-day Formula Student pre-season event at Boxberg Circuit in May. Bringing together ambitious students, self-built racecars, and expert engineering minds, we provided hands-on support for nine teams from across Germany. Discover how we helped them refine racecars, practice business concepts, and prepare for real competitions, embodying our passion for innovation and talent development.
CareerContacts at Hochschule Karlsruhe (October)
This October, Bosch and ETAS proudly participated in the CareerContacts fair at Hochschule Karlsruhe. Our joint booth, complete with a popular wheel of fortune, buzzed with motivated students eager to explore internships, thesis opportunities, and the Junior Managers Program. We engaged in inspiring conversations, shared insights, and highlighted why these direct exchanges are invaluable for recruiting the next generation of innovators.
Our highlight was the interactive software-defined vehicle (SDV) demo. Students used a portable miniature driver seat and sensor setup to trigger events, observing real-time seat movements, lighting, and reactions, showcasing how embedded software and cloud backend technology work in vehicle systems.
MeetIT at Hochschule Heilbronn (November)
What an inspiring event at MeetIT! Our joint ETAS and Bosch team was thrilled by the overwhelming turnout at Hochschule Heilbronn. We engaged in vibrant discussions with students and experts about cutting-edge IT, software, and the innovations driving tomorrow's mobility.
Student Development Day at 42 Heilbronn (November)
We were delighted to once again participate in 42 Heilbronn's Student Development Day, continuing our strong partnership with this innovative coding school. Our team engaged with bright talents, exchanging ideas and sharing real-world perspectives on tech and innovation. It's always inspiring to connect with students eager to shape the future of learning and working!
Informatik-Kontaktmesse at University Stuttgart (November)
At the Informatik-Kontaktmesse on the Stuttgart Vaihingen campus, our ETAS team, alongside Bosch, engaged with many students. We provided insights into both our technical work and the HR and student programs available. Interest was high, and we had numerous opportunities to discuss various aspects of software driven automotive development.
A central highlight was our software defined vehicle (SDV) demo based on a portable miniature driver seat and sensor setup powered by a central control unit. By triggering events such as opening or closing the door, they observed in real time how the system executed seat movements, lighting patterns and predefined reactions. The interactive setup attracted a steady flow of visitors and offered a clear, hands on impression of how embedded software and control technology deployed via a cloud backend work together in vehicle systems.
