ETAS presents the Vehicle Software Platform Suite enabled by Eclipse S-CORE
Stuttgart/Berlin, June 10, 2026 – On June 10 and 11, 2026, ETAS will present the Vehicle Software Platform Suite enabled by Eclipse S-CORE at the Bosch Mobility booth at Bosch Connected World 2026. With this, the company demonstrates how open-source innovation, industrial productization, and open standards can be combined into a scalable software foundation for the next generation of vehicles.
The Vehicle Software Platform Suite enabled by Eclipse S-CORE represents an approach that strengthens reusability, portability, and efficiency in automotive software development. The goal is to provide a standardized, production-ready foundation that enables software to be developed and deployed more efficiently across different programs and hardware environments.
The focus is particularly on reducing dependence on proprietary middleware, improving portability across different hardware platforms, and accelerating application development based on a shared software foundation.
Another part of ETAS’s presence at the event is the participation of Mariella Minutolo, ETAS, in the panel discussion “Develop Once, Deploy Often: Achieving Efficiency Through Open Standards and Collaborative Software Development” on June 11, 2026, from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. on Stage B at the Arena, Berlin. Together with representatives from Coretura, AUDI, the Eclipse Foundation, and the VDA, she will discuss the economic relevance of software reuse, the contribution of open standards, and the prerequisites for broader industrial adoption of collaboratively developed automotive software.
At the core of ETAS’s contribution is the question of how an open code base can be turned into a robust solution for series production. ETAS sees productization as the decisive step in transferring jointly developed software into real vehicle programs — through integration, validation, documentation, lifecycle management, support, clearly defined responsibilities, reliable releases, and structured cybersecurity processes.
Only this level of industrialization creates the conditions for reuse to become not only conceptually possible, but also truly repeatable and scalable in customer projects.
ETAS is already integrating Eclipse S-CORE into its own Vehicle Software Platform, and an initial release is available. In doing so, the company underlines its ambition to systematically translate open software approaches into industrial-grade solutions for series production. This marks the transition from conceptual development to practical implementation.
ETAS sees particularly strong potential in a more standardized and reusable software foundation, especially for next-generation vehicle programs. Such an approach can help reduce development effort, facilitate scaling, and sustainably increase efficiency in software development.
Visitors to Bosch Connected World 2026 are invited to visit ETAS at the Bosch Mobility booth and learn more about the Vehicle Software Platform Suite enabled by Eclipse S-CORE on June 10 and 11, 2026.
