ETAS showcases solutions for software-defined mobility at Auto China 2026

Focus on open software platforms based on Eclipse S-CORE, TSN-based network validation, and new approaches to future-proof vehicle architectures

Stuttgart/Beijing, March 10, 2026 - At Auto China 2026, ETAS will showcase its portfolio of solutions for the development, validation, and operation of software-defined vehicles. The focus will be on the Vehicle Software Platform Suite with Eclipse S-CORE Distribution, the TSN Architecture Simulation and Testing Solution, and AI-driven Vehicle Health Intelligence. The exhibition will take place from April 24 to May 3, 2026, at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall) and the Capital International Exhibition Center of China.

“Software is increasingly becoming the key differentiating factor in the vehicle. At the same time, requirements for openness, safety, integration capability, and development speed are continuing to rise,” says Lihua Wang, General Manager of ETAS China. “At Auto China 2026, we will demonstrate how ETAS supports vehicle manufacturers and development partners with a powerful portfolio that enables them to develop software-defined vehicles more efficiently, validate them reliably, and operate them more intelligently throughout the entire lifecycle. With the introduction of the M-ETK in China, we are also expanding our offering for ECU development with a highly flexible and high-performance solution for measurement, calibration, and reprogramming.”

One focus of ETAS’s presence at the show is the Vehicle Software Platform Suite with its open-source-based S-CORE Distribution. Based on Eclipse S-CORE and certified to ASIL-B, the platform supports the development of modern software architectures for software-defined vehicles. It is complemented by a Continuous Integration pipeline as well as services and functions for integration, maintenance, monitoring, and enhanced cybersecurity. In this way, ETAS helps reduce development effort, enable efficient software reuse, and accelerate innovation cycles.

In addition, ETAS will present its TSN Architecture Simulation Testing Solution for the simulation, testing, and analysis of automotive Ethernet and TSN networks. With centralized E/E architectures and Ethernet backbones in mind, the solution addresses key software-defined vehicle requirements in terms of real-time capability, reliability, and safety. It supports development teams in validating complex network structures at an early stage and in systematically ensuring the performance of distributed vehicle functions.

With AI-driven Vehicle Health Intelligence, ETAS is also placing a stronger focus on vehicle operation. This data- and AI-based approach extends traditional diagnostic functions with intelligent condition monitoring and improved analysis of vehicle and software behavior. As a result, anomalies can be detected at an early stage, root causes can be identified more quickly, and service processes can be made more efficient. Especially for software-defined vehicles with highly integrated software stacks and connected system architectures, scalable and intelligent vehicle health monitoring is becoming a key success factor across the entire lifecycle.

For Auto China 2026, ETAS is also presenting Modular ECU Access Device (M-ETK). The solution is aimed at developers of control units and supports the measurement, calibration, and reprogramming of ECU software with a compact, modular single-box approach. This makes additional evaluation devices superfluous, which reduces costs and saves valuable installation space in the vehicle. At the same time, the M-ETK will enable data rates of more than 80 Mbyte/s and is therefore also suitable for demanding applications such as chassis control, ABS/ESP, or radar systems.

Based on a modular concept, the M-ETK is designed for the growing complexity of modern microcontroller and SoC landscapes. It will support vendor-independent time synchronization across various components. As an on-premise solution, the M-ETK is integrated directly into the customer's hardware and software environment and fits seamlessly into existing development processes and tools such as the INCA platform and ETAS rapid prototyping solutions.

With its presence at Auto China 2026, ETAS underlines its ambition to actively shape the transformation toward open, secure, and high-performance software architectures. At the same time, the company emphasizes the strategic importance of the Chinese market as a key driver of innovation and implementation for the next generation of connected, intelligent, and software-centric vehicles.
