Featuring an XCP stack solution and an accompanying offboard toolchain, it allows for the measurement of variables and adjustment of parameters directly within an application during runtime.

The provided solution enables the measurement and calibration of functions that have been moved from traditional embedded ECUs to μP-based control units, as well as native POSIX applications. For users familiar with INCA, the solution offers the same look-and-feel, ensuring a smooth transition. It seamlessly integrates with the ETAS interactive measurement and calibration portfolio, supporting both global and local variables (heap, stack) and using a 2-page approach for calibration. The solution is designed to handle a data bandwidth of at least 10 MB/s.

By providing runtime access, the gateway enables system optimization and validation directly in the vehicle, addressing the growing use of μP-based control units based on a POSIX OS and optionally running a middleware like AUTOSAR Adaptive.

The solution consists of software components to be integrated into the customer's μP-based control units, libraries for data collection and calibration, and tools for variable definition and A2L file generation. By supporting virtual address space in POSIX-based systems and the measurement of variables within running application processes, it supports the functional runtime validation and optimization of new functionalities right inside a running process. This facilitates an efficient development process for applications on μP-based control units and distributed vehicle functions.
