Integrated power analysis for faster EV development

Developing and calibrating electric powertrains requires engineers to analyze ECU variables, bus communication, and high-precision electrical measurements together. In many test environments, these data sources originate from separate tools and hardware systems, making synchronization and correlation time-consuming and error-prone. As the number of measurement devices increases, engineers need a way to bring all relevant data into a single environment for efficient analysis and calibration.

Key challenges

Fragmented measurement data

ECU, CAN, and power analyzer data are captured in separate systems and difficult to correlate.

Lack of synchronization

Parallel recording does not provide the time-consistent data needed for accurate analysis.

Manual analysis effort

Engineers spend time aligning and validating data from different hardware sources.

Calibration accuracy limitations

Inconsistent measurement data can impact calibration quality and model development.

ETAS extends the INCA measurement, calibration, and validation environment through the integration of external hardware devices, including power analyzers from partners such as HIOKI and Yokogawa. Instead of handling measurements in separate tools, engineers can acquire electrical measurement data directly within INCA and synchronize it with ECU signals and vehicle communication data. This integrated workflow creates a single, time-aligned data set for analysis, visualization, and calibration. Engineers can view power measurements through INCA’s familiar graphical interface, evaluate electrical and control data together, and adjust supported power analyzer settings directly from within the tool. By eliminating disconnected workflows and manual data correlation, INCA enables more efficient investigations, more reliable calibration activities, and higher-quality measurement data for development tasks such as inverter efficiency optimization and plant model generation.

Your benefits

Gain a synchronized view of ECU signals, bus communication, and power analyzer measurements in one environment.

Eliminate manual data correlation between separate measurement systems.

Improve analysis efficiency through integrated visualization and evaluation workflows in INCA.

Increase calibration and model-development accuracy with high-precision, time-consistent measurement data.
